Two weeks ago, I kicked off “What’s Sexy ~ Music” by talking about Bryan Adams’ “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman”, my most favorite I love women song. For the most part, I picked it as my first WHAT’S SEXY choice because it is sensuous and because it is a testimony to how a good woman should be loved.

My next pick is a complete 180 from Adams’ song. Oh, it’s still sexy–don’t get me wrong.

I’m not going to lie–it made me swoon, sigh, and even cry just a little. Even with its faster, up tempo rhythm, this song speaks to the beauty of women, and to that beauty that is wonderful–just as you are right now.

In a world where women are often picked apart and the ideal woman is a collection of body parts that “real” women can hardly ever attain, it is wonderful to hear a song in which a man is saying I love you just the way you are. Now, I won’t sit here and analyze the sexy, thin chick in the video and my thought of I dare you to find a real flaw to hate on this woman–that’s for a whole other post that’s not nearly as sexy as this one!

We women often question what’s on the outside, asking, even if in silence, Do I look OK? It’s awesome to know that the man you love sees your beauty whether you’re in a ball gown or a ratty pair of sweat pants. That he sees that beauty when you’re fresh-faced and ready to start your day and when you’re just waking up and have dragon breath and crazy hair.

It is true that we should have strong self-esteem and see our own beauty, but we can’t deny that having the one we love see and tell us how beautiful (in whatever that word means) we are to them gives us a major boost. Not only is that touching and loving, but it’s also sexy. There’s nothing like a great woman with just a touch of the swollen ego because her man thinks her stuff don’t stink!
